Minnow lures are sub-surface swimming lures that are shaped like a fish.
These lures are mainly used when targeting Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo,
Tanguigue, Trevally and Barracuda.
There are two types of minnows:
One type, the Rapala CD 18, has a bib that gives the lure a lifelike
swimming action, but can only be trolled at low speeds.
Another type is the bibless minnow, which has a balanced point at the head,
and a heavy nose weight for counterbalance. This type can be trolled
at speeds of up to 20 knots.
