Identification:
Dark green to olive back and grey to silvery sides.
White to cream coloured belly.
Yellow to bronze fins and tail and a large head with
small and low set eyes.

Typical location:
Near the bottom in rivers, lakes and ponds.

Fishing methods:
Bottom fishing with weed, bread, dough, potatoes, molluscs or earthworm.

Fighting characteristics:
Long deep pulls.
