Fly Fishing Rods

Fly fishing rods are specifically for use casting artificial flies
for top-water game fish in both salt and freshwater.

They are available in single- as well as two hand versions.

One hand models are carefully balanced with small line guides, light reel seat
and non at all or a short butt. This makes the rods very light,
and therefore possible to fish long sessions.

Two hand models are mainly used for casting heavier flies
in rough conditions, but many anglers prefer this casting technique
and use the rod in other conditions as well.

On some saltwater models, an extra long butt can be attached,
making it possible to use a rod belt.
