Float Rigged Bomb

Rigging a bomb on a float can be done in various ways.

Below is described Thai Fishing Guide's recommended way of doing it.

A stopper is pulled on to the main line (or a stop knot is tied on the line)
followed by a bead.

Then the line is passed through a suitable size sliding float
and thereafter tied on to the bomb using a Blood Knot.

Float Rigged Bomb Step 1

A Mustad Iseama Twist size 15 hook is attached to a 50 lb leader
using a Triple Palomar Knot.

At the other end of the leader (approximately 20 cm)
a loop is tied using a Bimini Twist.

Float Rigged Bomb Step 2

The leader is then attached to the other end of the bomb
by passing the loop of the leader through the swivel of the bomb
and then passing the hook through the loop of the leader and then pulling tight.

Float Rigged Bomb Step 3

Using a floating bomb will make the float tilt when the bait has dissolved
and therefore help you avoid spending time fishing without bait.
