Make a loop and pass it through
the eye of a hook or swivel.

Fold the protruding section of the loop
back over the double strand.

Bend the tack back and pass it over
the folded loop and under the double strand.

Pass the tack through the newly formed loop.

Close the knot with gentle but
firm pressure on the main line.
