A fixed spool reel is a reel with a non-rotating spool, often used for spin fishing.
When casting, the rotating bail is lifted which then allows the line to run off the spool.
The bail automatically returns to its original position when retrieving the line.
Drag settings may be adjusted at the front, centre or rear by a finger screw.
It has a super smooth retrieval action along with many other great Shimano features,
such as Power Roller to decrease line twist, SBL to improve the anti-reverse feature
and Super Stopper II to eliminate back-play in the handle.
All in all, a small piece of magic
that raises the benchmark of all other spinning reels
