A fixed spool reel is a reel with a non-rotating spool, often used for spin fishing.
When casting, the rotating bail is lifted which then allows the line to run off the spool.
The bail automatically returns to its original position when retrieving the line.
Drag settings may be adjusted at the front, centre or rear by a finger screw.
The Shimano Sustain has been improved by adding a new thin profile
aluminum body and Shimano’s Fluidrive II system, for a super smooth retrieval.
It also features Super Stopper II to eliminate back-play in the handle,
and a titanium-lipped aluminum spool to reduce line friction.
Please note that an extra titanium-lipped aluminum spool is included in the price.
