A fixed spool reel is a reel with a non-rotating spool, often used for spin fishing.
When casting, the rotating bail is lifted which then allows the line to run off the spool.
The bail automatically returns to its original position when retrieving the line.
Drag settings may be adjusted at the front, centre or rear by a finger screw.
The waterproof seal for the drag washers is similar to those
found on Shimano's game reels, designed to keep the drag system dry
while offering ventilation to prevent heat. The Triton also has a heavy-duty
gear system, that will cope with the power and speed of billfish and tuna.
