Float Rigging

Below is described Thai Fishing Guide's recommended way of rigging a float rig.

A stopper is pulled onto the main line (or a stop knot is tied on the line)
followed by a bead.

The line is then passed through the desired float followed by a sinker
(or a suitable length of copper pipe).

Thereafter a bead is threaded onto the line
which then is tied onto a swivel using a Blood Knot.

The desired hook is then tied onto a short leader using a Triple Palomar Knot.

At the other end of the leader a loop is tied using a Bimini Twist.

The leader is then attached to the swivel by passing the loop through the swivel
and then passing the hook through the loop of the leader and then pulling tight.

By using copper pipe as sinkers, you eliminate the risk
of turtles, swans and ducks eating lost sinkers
causing death by suffocation or lead poisoning.
